2008 Old Hickory Placido Polanco AP1
Offered for sale is an Old Hickory model AP1 used by Placido Polanco of the Detroit Tigers during the 2008 season. Polanco
batted .307 with 8 HRs and 58 RBIs for the Tigers in 2008. In 2007, Polanco became the 1st ever 2nd baseman in MLB history
to play an entire season without committing an error.
This 33", 30.7 oz gamer shows evidence of heavy use. Many ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers are visibly
concentrated on the left barrel surface. The handle has a moderate to heavy coat of pine tar about half way up. The handle has a
crack on the top side that starts about 5" from the knob. It would be easily repaired if desired. Both ends are marked in black
with with Polanco's #14 as well as a notation for the weight of the bat.
This bat may be photomatched in the next few days. Upon completion of my research, a detailed LOA from Hall of Fame Bats will
be created and will accompany this bat. If available, the complete use history of the bat from beginning to end will be included
along with as many photos of the bat in use as possible. There is no additional charge for this service.
