Offered for sale is a Hillerich & Bradsby model K48 used by Jon Matlack during the 1977 season as a member of the New York
Mets. Matlack played from 1971 to 1983 with the New York Mets and Texas Rangers. He was the 1972 NL Rookie of the Year
and was a 3-time All Star Selection. He was also the 1975 MLB All Star Game MVP. Matlack pitched 3 games for the Mets in 1973
World Series. He retired after the 1983 season after winning 125 games in 13 seasons.

This 35", 32.5 oz gamer shows evidence of tremendous use. Many ball marks and seam impressions are visibly concentrated on
the right barrel surface and there is grain swelling from repeated contact. There are a few scattered cleat marks and a couple of
blue bat rack streaks. The handle has a light coat of vintage pine tar and a repaired 15" crack. The knob has Matlack's #32
written in black marker. Nothing is marked on the barrel end. Matlack signed the sweet spot in black marker.

This bat is accompanied by an LOA from Hall of Fame Bats.
