Offered for sale is a Rawlings model JC90 issued to Jose Canseco around 1991. Canseco played 17 seasons with the Athletics,
Rangers, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Devil Rays, Yankees, and White Sox. He retired after the 2001 season with 1,877 hits, 462 HRs, and
1,407 RBIs. Canseco was a 6-time all star selection, 4-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and 2-time World Series champion. He
was the 1986 AL Rookie of the Year and the 1988 AL MVP.

This 34.75", 32.4 oz gamer shows evidence of light to moderate use. A few ball marks and light seam impressions are visible on
the left barrel and there is some staining on the handle. The knob is stamped with the model number (JC90), and Canseco's
initials. This practice is typical for Rawlings special event bats of the era. Canseco has autographed the bat in black and added the
notation "Gamer". The barrel labeling was very lightly stamped so at some point it was re-traced in black marker.

I am unsure of the reason for the existence of this bat as Canseco was not selected to play in the 1991 All Star Game.
