Offered for sale is a Cooper model KSC33 used by Jose Canseco sometime between 1988 and 1992 with the Oakland Athletics.
Canseco played 17 seasons with the Athletics, Rangers, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Devil Rays, Yankees, and White Sox. He retired after
the 2001 season with 1,877 hits, 462 HRs, and 1,407 RBIs. Canseco was a 6-time all star selection, 4-time Silver Slugger Award
winner, and 2-time World Series champion. He was the 1986 AL Rookie of the Year and the 1988 AL MVP.
This 35", 32.1 oz gamer shows evidence of excellent use. Many ball marks and seam impressions are visible on both hitting
surfaces and there are several blue ink transfers as well. Additionally, both the right and left barrel surfaces have some grain
swelling from repeated contact. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and a repaired handle crack. The knob has Canseco's #33
marked in black marker. The typical Cooper knob markings for length and weight may have been on the knob at some point, but
if they were there they are no longer visible.
