I started out my collecting in 1988 with Topps baseball cards. I pretty much stuck with cards until about 1998
when I started getting a few autographed items both in person and through the mail. That lasted for a couple of
years until I discovered game worn jerseys and game used bats. Eventually I sold off all of the jerseys and
started specializing in game used bats. My first game used bat was a cracked Louisville Slugger David McCarty
game used Royals bat that I bought on Ebay for under $50. That was around 2001.
Since then, I've handled game used bats of Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Al Kaline, Johnny Bench, Kirby Puckett,
Don Mattingly, Tony Perez, Joe Morgan, Tom Seaver, Rod Carew, Eddie Murray, Mike Schmidt, George Brett,
Wade Boggs, Reggie Jackson, Paul Molitor, Steve Carlton, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, Manny Ramirez, David
Ortiz, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Johnny Evers, and many, many more.
I started Hall of Fame Bats in the summer of 2006 after working an overnight retail job for three years in River
Falls, WI. The change was quite welcome and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am a collector first and foremost,
and a dealer second. I get a lot of satisfaction out of helping collectors add quality items.
I am 30 years old. I like the Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers.
My favorite player of all time is Ty Cobb because of the way he played the game.
